The 6 Pillars of Fitness

  1. Training: Training is the foundation, any significant change requires physical exercise. You can train at the gym, at home or on the street, as long as you do it with intensity and dedication you will achieve the body you want.
  1. Nutrition: Food greatly influences the results you get. If you want to gain weight and eat too little you inhibit your progress, if you want to lose weight and eat too much you make your progress impossible. The trick is knowing how to dose and select what you eat.
  1. Knowledge: The best way to get results is to know what you have to do. You can try it on your own for months or years until you realize how your body works and what's best for you, or you can hire someone like me who guides you in the right direction and accelerates your transformation. Regardless of your choice, start, alone or with me, but start.
  1. Dedication: Change is always a difficult process. It requires humility, dedication and above all consistency. The more you try, the more results you get. Life is fair in that sense. Whatever your goal, dedicate yourself, and I guarantee you that you will get further than you ever imagined.
  1. Consistency: You can train like you're supposed to, eat accordingly and sleep well, but if you don't do it consistently, the results won't stay. Any results you have will quickly disappear. It's the ability to do things well for a long period of time that changes you and makes you evolve. Nobody changes in a day, but it only takes one day for you to start changing.
  2. Sleep: Sleeping well is essential for recovery. Training wears out the body, food fuels it, but it's sleep that makes it recover and grow. The less you sleep, the worse your progress will be and the more difficult your change will be. Whatever you do, don't skip a night's sleep, your body will thank you.

MY JOURNEY
My name is Martim De Paula, I'm 29 years old, I have a degree in Marketing and Advertising, I have a Physical Exercise Technician certificate and this is my story.

I was a skinny boy who liked to skateboard and who had problems with my body. Skateboarding taught me that to get what I want I have to take risks and that pain is part of life. When I turned 16 I joined the gym and my mission was clear: to build my dream body. At first it was difficult, I felt weak and change seemed impossible. I dedicated myself and started to see results. I quickly took a liking to training and the goal that seemed impossible before was no longer possible. I realized it would take time, but as long as I didn't give up it was certain that I would get there. The years passed and I continued training, until one day I looked in the mirror and thought: “I knew you could do it! Love you Bro.”

Accepting means that you suffer less, but you never stop suffering, you just accept reality as it is. Changing means that you suffer more at first but then you stop suffering because you have changed, reached a new level and are proud of the person you have become. Life is not easy and it is not meant to be, but each of us has the power to choose.

I Chose to Change, And You?
